Duke Center for Advanced Hindsight’s analysis of the pilot results reveal that our SmartTrip was successful with NCCU commuter students. Using a randomized control trial, the study observed a statistically significant decrease in drive-alone commute trips (7.1%) and a statistically significant increase in sustainable commute trips (6.5%) with NCCU students who received a SmartTrip plus nudges over the control group.
