The Mayors Challenge team recently wrapped up their latest pilot program with the commuting students at North Carolina Central University.  The program launched in mid-August, prior to the start of the new school year, and ran for eight weeks.  Over 2,400 off-campus students received a personalized commute plan, called a SmartTrip, to show them the most convenient way to travel to campus without driving alone.

Data analysis is still being completed, but early results are showing a promising affect from the SmartTrip.  The Mayors Challenge team will present a summary and early findings of the program to Mayor Steve Schewel in early December.
